I am giving you a final report on the Oakmont house transformation. So this house is complete and we are walking to the house. I started furnishing the house already, so you can see the TV stand, the couch, the coffee table, the dining table, and the chandelier. This is the common area. And then you walk into the kitchen. So we still need to get it fresh. But you’ve got the stainless steel appliances already over there.
This is kind of like a studio efficiency home if you call it. Kind of a tiny little house, but it’s got everything that you need as a short-term rental guest. Yeah. This is a custom shower that we built. It’s long. It’s got a niche. Two bedroom, one bath house, about a thousand square feet. Each bedroom has its own closet. This is a queen-size bed.
Let’s walk into this little hallway there. This door goes into the washer and dryer where the heater is. And this is the second bedroom. So these two bedrooms were actually one room before, and we just made it into two bedrooms just so that we can efficiently use the space in this house.
So I really, really like the fact that … Look at this beautiful, beautiful living area. That’s where TV is going to go. Most likely I’m going to put the TV right over here on this wall. And then what else? What else there? All the windows are new. We were able to put in all the dual pane windows and the blinds.
So this beautiful home is going to be ready to be listed as a short-term rental here in Sacramento. So we’re going to just take a last look. There are still a lot of things that we need to do. Still purchase a few more pieces of furniture there. But it’s done. I think this is going to be on the market in two weeks. We’ve still got some landscaping that we need to do.
And let’s see if you can see. It’s a big yard, actually. So you can probably … No, not probably. You can build an ADU here.
So let me just take you to the front of the house and you get to see what the neighbourhood looks like. This is a very, very quiet neighbourhood and I know you’ll like it. This is the neighbourhood. Today is actually sunny again. Was raining before. And the house down that way, that white house, it’s being sold for $730,000. So this is a neighbourhood that is being transformed already.
This is the front of the house. We actually had to re-stuckle the house. There is a garage that is not completely attached.
And this is the backyard. Still need to do some landscaping here for sure. But, the yard, just look how big the yard is? This is huge, right? I think we can build another house on it. This house sits in the front of the yard. So there’s plenty of space in the back where we can actually build another house, maybe 1500 square feet, or another 1000 square foot home.
So this house has got a lot of potential, but once again, we’re just going to leave it like this and just rent out the house in the front. So that’s what we’re going to do.
Let’s just take a last look at the house. A very neat little house. So check it. Look. Wow! Great project. I’m very proud of this house that we did. Did a lot of work on it. We had to rearrange a few things structurally inside the house to make it look the way it is now, which we think actually made sense. So take a look. This custom shower the water tiles. The niche. We actually have to buy the rim for a shower. With the showerhead. You’ve got the floor tiles. It’s amazing, right? Very modern, very clean, minimalistic. That’s the way I like it. Everything is just so clean and so modern. So I think any homeowner would fall in love with this house.
So this is it. This is our little project. Tiny little house, about 1000 feet. And we truly love this house and we can’t wait to see you guys on the market. All right, till next time, guys.
